Located at 201 S Estes Dr Suite E3, Chapel Hill, NC 27514, bartaco operates as a mexican restaurant serving Chapel Hill in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–10 pm. Chapel Hill is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chapel Hill follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A fun restaurant with tasty little tacos. I started with a fresh-pressed margarita that was really amazing, then sampled the duck, fish, and pork belly tacos. My favorites were the pork and fish. Three wasn’t quite enough for dinner, so I added another fish taco (the pork was super yummy and more filling). The staff at the bar took great care of me.

First time for me and my husband. The tacos and sides were very good. Our server Brooks was so kind. He and the chef were very thoughtful to my allergies. I apologize for not remembering the chef's name. We will definitely be back

Visited a friend in NC and she brought me here. Everything was perfect! The prices are so reasonable, and the food is amazing. The fish tacos are an absolute must-try, and the chocolate cone ice cream at the end was the perfect sweet treat. Love this place! 🌮

First time here and definitely will be back. Atmosphere is super cool and staff was great! The food was delicious and creative. I had the pork belly taco, carnitas taco and carne asada taco as well as a pork tamale and the corn (in the bowl off the Cobb) Everything was amazing but my favorites were the pork belly taco, pork tamale and corn. Left with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on a cone to ensure a perfect dining experience! Very chocolatey and perfect end to an excellent lunch

This place instantly makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. From the outdoor seating to the warm wooden interior and soft lighting, it feels like a little vacation spot right in Chapel Hill. The food comes in small plates, but everything is well-crafted. The tacos—especially the pork belly and beef—are flavorful and well-balanced. The variety of house-made sauces makes it fun to mix and match flavors. I didn’t order any alcohol this time—just tea—and it actually paired really well with the food. It felt lighter and let the flavors of the dishes stand out more. Overall, bartaco is more than just a place to eat—it’s a relaxing dining experience. Great for friends, dates, or even a quiet meal by yourself. Definitely coming back.
